This bas-relief sculpture was designed by senior illustrator Rick 
Sternbach.  Rick said that it was based on an radiotelescope image of a 
spiral galaxy seen at an oblique angle.  The sculpture was lit by a kinetic 
fiber optic system that gradually changed the colors of the lighting.  Æ
