Gene Roddenberry insisted this door be included on the Enterprise-D bridge 
in response to criticism that the original Enterprise had no such provisions for 
its crew.  Unfortunately, we never saw the inside of the "head," although 
Andrew Probert once speculated that instead of having only two bathrooms 
(for men and women), this room had multiple "facilities" for the many kinds 
of life-forms serving aboard the starship.
